Who Are We?
Empowering orphans and promoting climate advocacy in Nigeria, the Love Alliance Foundation for Orphans, Disabled, and Abandoned Persons in Nigeria”
It is a non-governmental organisation committed to supporting vulnerable persons and creating sustainable change. (LAFODAP NIGERIA) is working to assist abandoned persons by their families and to provide them FOOD, SHELTER, MEDICAL care and EDUCATION. Also to protect against SEXUAL exploitation and CHILD LABOUR.
LAFODAP NIGERIA is working on promoting the philosophy of independent living of persons with disabilities and creating conditions for its implementation in Nigeria. It is a non- political organization for social work, secular and non-profit operating in the humanitarian and cultural matters mainly for sustainable development for the integral development of its environment.
Our Vision include,
# Effectively working for the benefit of the targeted populations and train the targeted populations in the fields of health and social security.
# Respect the diversities and cultural differences.
# Affirming abilities of persons with disabilities, the development of their potentials and personality.
# Advocacy for creating basic civil and human rights of persons with disabilities and promoting social approach to disability in all the segments of social life.
# Invest part of its revenue in communities, with the assistance and involvement of Governments, Councils through decentralized cooperation’s, NGOs, Enterprises and Foundations.
Our Mission
Empowering Orphans and Advocating for Climate Action
The Love Alliance Foundation for Orphans, Disabled and Abandoned Persons in Nigeria” (LAFODAP NIGERIA) works primarily at:
- Supporting children & social integration of disabled for improvement of living conditions.
- Protection against labor exploitation of children and sexual abuses of little girls and boys, the fight against child trafficking.
- Seeking to strengthen the family and community involvement through family and community assistance programs.
- Rehabilitation of abandoned people to their families of origin.
5. To provide legal aid, advice and representation for victims of human rights violations.
6. The guarantee of appropriate medical care for orphans, widows, disabled and abandoned persons, give education & training needs through acquisition programs in the trades for their socio-professional integration.
7. Support the effort of Government in assisting the needy.
8. The promotion and advocacy of climate change to enhance a friendly environment.
9. To foster biodiversity conservation project and restore ecosystems and habitats, supporting biodiversity conservation efforts by working with local communities, governments and conservation groups.
10. To raise environmental awareness, educate the public on environmental challenges and solutions, promoting behaviors and policies that support sustainability through workshops, media campaigns and school outreach programs.
